What is the 1 thing you need to know before going on an interview?

Job Seeker Question: “What is the one piece of advice I would give someone before they go in on a job interview?”

Job Seeker Question: “What is the one piece of advice I would give someone before they go in on a job interview?”

I am going to give you two quick pieces of advice.

  1. Words don’t mean the same thing to everybody. For example, if someone asks you tell me about your excel skills and you give them a one word answer. That does not work. Give the detail and back that up with some specific examples.

  1. Don’t look at the negative! You are having an interview, the hiring manager has looked at your resume. Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do. What you think is a problem and a negative may not be to the hiring manager!
